As a high school student, my perspective on life changed when my uncle and godfather, who lives in Brazil, was diagnosed with ALS a couple of years ago. Every year when I visit Brazil and during his visits to the U.S., I witness firsthand the challenges that ALS presents not just to patients, but to entire families.
This personal experience, combined with seeing friends whose loved ones have been affected by ALS, inspired me to take action. I realized that while there are many organizations fighting ALS, there was an opportunity to make support more personal and direct.
ALS Lifeline was founded with a simple mission: to provide direct, tangible support to individuals and families affected by ALS. We believe in the power of personal connection and practical assistance. Whether it's providing essential equipment like wheelchairs and compression socks, sponsoring physical therapy sessions, or creating a community of support, we're committed to making a real difference in the lives of those affected by ALS.
Our approach is hands-on and personal. We work directly with individuals and families to understand their specific needs and provide tailored support. We believe that by focusing on the practical, day-to-day challenges faced by those with ALS, we can make a meaningful impact on their quality of life.
Join us in our mission to support and empower those affected by ALS. Together, we can make a difference.
